Serbian born in Yugoslavia, living in Australia. He studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo and the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. For more than 40 years he has devoted his life to art. His practice is grounded in drawing, yet his paintings and sculptures emerge intuitively rather than from predesigned sketches. He works on large canvases and on smaller, rigid supports such as aluminum composite panels, a choice that enables rapid, en plein air and alla prima execution. A multidisciplinary artist, he brings the same meticulous attention to every medium he explores.
