The Bull is a recurring theme in my work, and I've explored it in many pieces and many mediums over the years. In this series of works, the Bull figure is a part of the dynamic with the human athlete, and in the play of two it gives opportunity for composition to flow. The theme explores the relationship between humans and nature, touching subtly on social and psychological aspects, yet focusing manly on the human’s initiative in this rivalry. It is closely related to my ‘Bull-Paintings’ series, ‘Bull- Drawings’ series, as well as the series of sculptural forms that can be seen in ‘The Bull Sculpture’.
